ThisVerseFitz relating to modern times, a world in need of a Godly church with decent leaders.

On this twenty-eigth Sunday of 2025, July 13, we enter the book of Titus. We continue our time with Paul in his letter to Titus as Crete is in need of Godly leadership.

This verse “Fitz” in modern times since Crete is in need of a church with Godly and decent leaders. The entire earth is in desperate need of the same in current day. It seems to move in the right direction at times lately and then another lunatic rises from the dark side with an evil following. The collapse of the true church of Jesus leads to many more collapses.

Titus 1:5-9 – Qualifications for Elders: “This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you – if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined. He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.”

Titus 1:16 – “They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.”

Paul calls on Titus to teach to teach others to be the needed leaders.

Titus 2:11-14 – “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.”

Paul encourages Titus to be gentle and kind during his teachings.

Titus 3:1-7 – Be Ready for Every Good Work: “Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

Titus 3:14 – “And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.”

“God Search in Words” works exactly as a normal “Word Search” with a somewhat higher level of difficulty given the Biblical terms. Once all the words are found, the leftover letters repeat a phrase 2.9 times (meaning the phrase is present 2 times and 9 letters of the phrase are left over). We call this the “AfterPuzzle”.
