ThisVerseFitz 9 – Revelation

by f ziamond | Mar 1, 2025

#ThisVerseFitz relating to modern time, modern concerns and Prophecy.

On this ninth Sunday of 2025, March 2, we enter the book of Revelation. Many people may have grown up hearing that the book of Revelation is the most frightening book of the bible. It is the final book of the bible. It shows prophecy as related to the end of times. Much of the prophecy is similar to that of the book of Daniel which we read two weeks ago. The prophecies can be scary and they can also be relatable to current times. The book also speaks to the second coming of Jesus and brighter times.

The book is spoken through John regarding what God showed Jesus Christ. Many of the prophecies have visions of occurrences involving SEVENS – 7 churches in Asia, 7 Spirits, 7 lamp stands, 7 stars, 7 angels, 7 plagues, 7 trumpets.

Revelation 1:1-3 – “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.”

The letters are written to the churches in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea and they cover a wide array of messages of what is to come.

Many of the creatures in the prophesies seem similar to those mentioned in the book of Daniel. Sometimes the creatures represent evil and other times, good. Revelation 4:6-8 – “And around the throne, on each side of the throne are four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind: the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say – “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!””

ThisVerseFitz 7 – Daniel

Daniel

The visions of the Scroll and the Lamb and the 7 SEALS leading up to the Four horsemen are some of the most known prophetic signs in Revelation. Revelation 5:1-2 – “Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?””

The seven Seals – Revelation 6:1-2 – “Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.”

The Four horsemen of the apocalypse include the White Horse representing religious deception, triumph, prosperity and health. The Red Horse representing War. The Black horse representing Famines. And The Pale Horse representing Pestilence and Death. Other interpretations include, Time, Famine, Pestilence and Death.

The Four Horsemen

In chapter 8, the seven angels with the seven trumpets enter. The seventh trumpet does not sound until chapter 11. Many of the visions of the weapons and “monsters” described as the trumpets sound can relate to the armor and weapons of today. If they witnessed modern technology, it could possibly be described as it is in ancient text. Revelation 9:1-3 – “And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit. He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft. Then from the smoke came locusts on earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth.”

Revelation 9:7-10 – “In appearance the locusts were like horses prepared for battle: on their heads were what looked like crowns of gold; their faces were like human faces, their hair like women’s hair, and their teeth like lions’ teeth; they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was like the noise of many chariots rushing into battle. They have tails and stings like scorpions, and their power to hurt people for five months is in their tails.”

They still worshipped demons and idols as mentioned in the Book of Daniel. Revelation 9:20-21 – “The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshipping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.”

Some prophecies were meant to stay secret, also as mentioned in the Book of Daniel. Revelation 10:4 – “And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down””

Another important Bible figure mentioned in the Book of Daniel is Michael the Archangel. He too is in Revelation and throws Satan down to earth. Revelation 12:7-9 – “Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the world – he was thrown down to earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”

A very relatable term that “fitz” very much in modern times is, the Mark of the Beast. The Demons of today have tried everything possible to mark the people of earth and limit their freedom and spending depending on accepting their mark. Revelation 13:15-18 – “And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.”

Shortly after, God releases anger through SEVEN BOWLS. The seven angels pour the 7 bowls of God’s wrath over the earth. One of the angels showed the judgement of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters. The woman also known as “the Whore of Babylon”. There are many suggestions on who or what it represents. We think it “fitz” perfectly to the most horrible women of our time. The description is only missing the pantsuit. Revelation 17:4-6 – “The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.” And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.

After the fall of Babylon, there is rejoicing in Heaven. Heaven opened, the White Horse appeared, the devil would be bound in a pit for a thousand years before his ultimate defeat. That is when the time is right for the new Heaven, New Earth and New Jerusalem. All leads to the return of Jesus. Revelation 22:6-7 – “And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place. And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the on who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.””

God Search in Words – Print N Play

“God Search in Words” works exactly as a normal “Word Search” with a somewhat higher level of difficulty given the Biblical terms. Once all the words are found, the leftover letters repeat a phrase 4.4 times (meaning the phrase is present 4 times and 4 letters of the phrase are left over). We call this the “AfterPuzzle”
